Everything you need to know

Answers to the most common questions about working with Neat Digital, our Shopify development process, pricing, and what to expect.

Working With Us
What is the Neat Sprint System and how does it work?
The Neat Sprint System is our focused delivery model. Instead of dragging projects across months, we dedicate 7 or 14 days of undivided attention to your project. During a sprint, you're our only client — Declan handles development and architecture while Megan leads design and brand. We work under the same roof, solving problems in real time with zero handoffs or delays.
How do I hire you as my Shopify developer?
Getting started is simple. Reach out via our contact page or message us through our Fiverr profile. We'll have a quick conversation to understand your goals, then scope the project and send you a custom offer with clear milestones, deliverables, and pricing. No lengthy discovery phases or proposal decks — just a direct conversation with the people who'll actually build your store.
Do you work with clients outside the UK?
Absolutely. While we're based in Scotland, we've delivered over 1,000 projects for brands across 30+ countries including the US, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, and South Africa. We work remotely and are comfortable with any timezone. Our sprint model means communication is fast and focused regardless of where you are.
What's the typical timeline for a Shopify store build?
Most projects are completed within 7 to 14 days. A 7-day sprint covers focused work like CRO improvements, small redesigns, SEO optimisation, or single-product stores. A 14-day sprint handles full store builds from scratch, major redesigns, complete branding packages, or complex multi-page setups. Larger enterprise projects may take longer — we'll scope that with you upfront.
Who will actually be working on my project?
Declan and Megan — the founders. That's it. We don't outsource, we don't use junior developers, and we don't have account managers or project coordinators. The people you speak to during the sales process are the exact same people writing the code and designing the layouts. This is our core differentiator and why our quality stays consistently high across every project.
Services & Pricing
How much does it cost to hire a Shopify developer?
Our 7-day sprint starts at £1,500 and the 14-day deep dive starts at £2,500. These are flat-rate packages with clearly defined deliverables — no hourly billing, no hidden fees, and no surprise costs. For larger or more complex projects that don't fit into a standard sprint, we provide custom quotes. All payments are handled through Fiverr's secure milestone system.
What Shopify services do you offer?
We offer a full range of Shopify services: new store builds from scratch, complete store redesigns, Shopify theme customisation, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), SEO and page speed optimisation, branding and logo design, dropshipping store setup, print-on-demand store setup, private label product and store builds, and custom Liquid/CSS/JS development for unique features and sections.
Do you offer ongoing support or retainer plans?
Yes. After a sprint is complete, many clients continue working with us on a retainer basis for ongoing updates, seasonal refreshes, new feature builds, and CRO tweaks. We also offer ad-hoc support for quick fixes and small changes. Reach out and we'll put together a plan that fits your needs.
How does payment work through Fiverr?
All payments go through Fiverr's secure milestone system. We break larger projects into milestones with clear deliverables. You only release payment once each milestone is completed and you're happy with the work. This protects both sides and ensures accountability throughout the project.
Can you build a Shopify store for my dropshipping business?
Yes — we specialise in dropshipping, print-on-demand, and private label store setups. Our 14-day sprint covers everything: product research and sourcing guidance, supplier integration, branded store design, product pages optimised for conversion, and all the technical setup you need to start selling. We've built hundreds of dropshipping stores and know exactly what converts.
Technical
Are you official Shopify Partners?
Yes. Neat Digital are official Shopify Select Partners and Experts. This means we've been vetted by Shopify, maintain high standards of work, and have access to priority support and partner resources. Our partner status reflects our deep expertise in the Shopify platform and our track record of delivering quality work.
Do you build custom Shopify themes or use pre-built templates?
We build custom. While we sometimes start with a premium theme as a foundation (like Horizon or Dawn), every store we deliver is extensively customised with bespoke sections, custom Liquid code, and unique design elements. We don't believe in cookie-cutter templates — your store should look and feel uniquely yours, not like a generic template with your logo slapped on.
Will my Shopify store be mobile-friendly?
Every store we build is mobile-first. Since the majority of e-commerce traffic comes from mobile devices, we design and develop for mobile screens first, then scale up to desktop. This means your store won't just "work" on mobile — it'll be genuinely optimised for mobile shoppers with proper touch targets, fast load times, and layouts that make buying easy on any screen size.
Do you handle SEO for Shopify stores?
Yes. Every sprint includes SEO foundations as standard — proper meta titles and descriptions, clean URL structures, image optimisation, structured data markup, page speed optimisation, and internal linking. For brands that want to go deeper, we offer dedicated SEO sprints that cover keyword research, content strategy, technical audits, and ongoing optimisation.
Can you migrate my store from another platform to Shopify?
Yes. We've handled migrations from WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Magento, and custom platforms to Shopify. A migration sprint typically covers product data transfer, URL redirects (critical for preserving SEO), design rebuild, and testing. We plan every migration carefully to minimise downtime and ensure nothing gets lost in the move.
