Partial Payment Policy
Partial Payment Policy
Last updated: March 2026
Neat Digital offers flexible partial payment options for larger projects. This policy explains how our deposit and milestone payment structure works.
How It Works
For most projects, payment is split into manageable stages:
- 50% deposit is collected upfront before any work begins
- The remaining balance is due at an agreed milestone or upon project completion
For larger projects with multiple milestones, each milestone is paid at the start of that phase of work.
Payment Structure
| Project Type | Payment Split |
|---|---|
| Standard projects | 50% deposit + 50% on completion |
| Multi-milestone projects | Payment at the start of each milestone |
| Monthly retainers | Billed monthly in advance |
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept payment via:
- Bank transfer
- Stripe (credit/debit card)
- PayPal
Deposit Terms
- The deposit secures your project slot and covers initial planning, discovery, and setup work
- The deposit becomes non-refundable after one (1) business day of work has been committed to your project
- If you cancel before any work has started, the deposit is refunded in full
Late Payments
If a milestone or balance payment is overdue:
- Work on the current phase will be paused until payment is received
- Your project timeline may be adjusted accordingly
- After 14 days of non-payment, we reserve the right to pause the project and reallocate your slot
What Happens If You Cancel
- Before work starts: Full deposit refund
- During a milestone: Deposit and any completed milestone payments are non-refundable. Work-in-progress on the current milestone will be delivered as-is
- Unstarted milestones: Will not be charged
Intellectual Property
All custom code, designs, and assets remain the property of Neat Digital until full payment has been received. Upon final payment, all deliverables and IP rights transfer to you.
