Founded in Copenhagen
One kitchen table, a pot of beeswax, and a scent we could not find anywhere else. Aurel began as twelve candles poured for friends.
2021
The first refill program
Bring the amber jar back and we fill it again. More than half our orders now ship in glass that has already lived a life.
2023
Ten thousand candles
The atelier grew. The method did not. Every jar is still poured by hand, two at a time, on the same travertine bench.

The winter collection
Four new scents made for the darkest months, led by Ember, our bestseller before the first frost each year.
