Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Neat Digital, we deliver high-quality Shopify development and design services. This policy outlines how deposits, payments, and refunds are handled across all projects.


1. Deposits

A 50% deposit is required before any work begins. This deposit secures your project slot in our schedule and covers initial discovery, planning, and setup work.

2. Non-Refundable Deposit

The 50% deposit becomes non-refundable once at least one (1) business day of work has been committed to your project. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Theme setup and configuration
  • Custom section or block development
  • Design implementation and prototyping
  • Store backend setup (products, collections, navigation)
  • Consultation, planning, and discovery sessions

If you cancel your project before any work has begun, your deposit will be refunded in full.

3. Milestone-Based Projects

For larger projects broken into milestones:

  • Payment is collected at the start of each milestone
  • Completed and approved milestones are non-refundable
  • If you cancel mid-project, you are responsible for payment of all completed milestones plus any work-in-progress on the current milestone
  • Unused milestones that have not been started will not be charged

4. Revisions

Each milestone includes two (2) rounds of revisions. Each round allows unlimited changes, but all feedback must be submitted in a single batch per round. Additional revision rounds beyond the included two may incur extra charges, quoted in advance.

5. Scope Changes

If you request features or changes outside the original agreed scope:

  • We will provide a written quote for the additional work before proceeding
  • Additional work is billed separately and follows the same refund terms
  • Scope changes may affect the project timeline

7. Delivery & Satisfaction

We are committed to delivering work that meets the agreed specifications. If you are unsatisfied with a deliverable:

  • Please raise your concerns during the revision rounds
  • We will work with you in good faith to address any issues
  • Refunds are not issued for subjective design preferences if the work meets the agreed brief

8. Abandoned Projects

If a project stalls due to client inactivity (no communication or feedback for 14+ consecutive days):

  • We will send a written reminder
  • If no response is received within 7 days of the reminder, the project may be considered abandoned
  • Deposits and completed milestone payments for abandoned projects are non-refundable
  • We reserve the right to reallocate your project slot

9. Intellectual Property

All custom code, designs, and assets are transferred to the client only upon full payment. Until final payment is received, Neat Digital retains ownership of all deliverables.
